Meets every two months or as needed. Advises in all scientific issues related to Penn Genome Frontiers Institute, including recruitment, core facility development and pilot grant awards.
Meets twice a year for regular meetings and ad hoc as needed. Oversees the financial support of the institute, strategic missions and coordinates the interschool sponsorship of the institute. The oversight committee consists of representatives from the Dean's offices of each of the stakeholder schools-Arts and Sciences (SAS), Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), Medicine (SOM) and Veterinary Medicine (SVM). It is chaired by the Provost's representative. The committee's meeting schedule is coordinated by the Vice President for Research's office.
